Once again, hopes are dashed. None of these framed tiles are surviving. Not one. The design of the mold that produces the blank tile is flawed. For the mean time, the idea will be set aside. Note, I say "for the mean time."

Here is another tile that won't make it.

On a positive note check out the Grape Vine pot. WOW. And what you see was just a fast testing glaze. Wait until I put more color into it. Although the jade glaze does look wonderful. But I have ideas for glaze variations.

Since the tile mold idea is sidetracked for the moment, I made a number of pots and all have sun and moon themes.

I have been throwing and really enjoying it. And I have been making classic oriental shapes that will end up with "painted" surfaces like the Cherry Blossom theme.

Imagine cherry blossoms on the bulbous bottom 2/3rds and snow falling on the top half of this pot.

I have been criss crossing themes this week. Here is a rain pot with hollyhocks.

And an 8 tile set of a poplar, hollyhocks and rain. Do I have a great and inventive way to glaze these! It just dawned on me today how to make the glazing stunning. So simple, so obvious, and it took me ten years to think of it!!

Another tile panel with a load of hollyhocks. It is going to be a red hot sun. (And a red hot seller!)

Forget the backyard for a moment. It is frozen over. And we only needed one, maybe two days to finish the job. Rats.
