In order to cool the switches that control the individual elements, I had my metal man fold some metal that I simply attached to the outside of the control panel to actually turn the entire panel into an air duct. Room temperature air blows over the switches and wiring all the time the kiln is hot. Again, a small 55 cfm fan does the trick. A higher volume might be nice. Toward the end of a firing -I go to cone 10- the panel gets too hot to touch for more than a second. I must say however, that I never use the element controls since I have the TouchnFire providing the control of the current to the elements.

You have to be creative with a few of the duct and vent connections.
