I've been making a lot of Chive Pots lately.
This one is a beauty cause it has been fired three times. The last time a layer of transparent light blue was applied over the entire pot.

I think this has one of the best surfaces on it I have ever gotten.

The downside of multiple firings is controlling glaze thickness. Each additional layer means it is going to run when it melts.

Notice the thick glaze around the base of the pot. Almost perfect thickness control. I had to grind a couple of glaze flows off the bottom.
